Instructions to Submitters
A
capsule review is less than 75 words long, and consists
of a non-evaluative description of the work. A brief review
may be up to 400 words long with one or more paragraphs and,
optionally, a few highly relevant references. In all cases, include
a full reference to the work in APA style and a brief (1-3 sentences)
biographical statement about the authors or editors of the work.
(If the work is a movie, use the director's name in place of
the author.) All submissions should be in the current APA style.
A
brief review may be evaluative or a critique. Please keep evaluative
reviews and critiques professional and objective. In any review,
describe the format and contents of the work, its intended audience,
level and style of presentation, overall quality, and any extras
or ancillary materials. For evaluative reviews, be "generic."
Evaluate the degree to which the work achieves its goals. Evaluative
reviews may also include information on the overall quality of
the work, including specific positive and negative aspects. Avoid
ad hominem statements. BAAM will make a determination of the
suitability of the review for posting, and may edit all submissions
for style, content, format, and other factors. BAAM may request
revisions and rewrites. Acceptance decisions are BAAM's and are
final. Authors will be credited by name, affiliation, and date
of posting.
