Revised Supervision Rules For Limited License Psychologists in Michigan(See disclaimer at the bottom of the page)
Revised supervision rules went into effect January 2006 for Limited License psychologists practicing in Michigan. They were updated August 14, 2007 as part of a sweeping set of rules changes. You may review the other rules changes using BAAM's Michigan Public Health Code and General Rules for Psychologists page.
The revised rules change the type and duration of supervision required for Limited License psychologists depending on their years of experience. Other elements of the rules for practicum and post-degree supervision may be found in section 333.18223 of the rules as well as in the instructions on the psychology license application itself (download application). The new rules are summarized here: "Psychology Supervision Update and Doctoral Educational Limited Licenses"
The revised rules read as follows:
R 338.2510a Supervision requirements; reporting of supervision.

The licensee also shall report the starting date of the supervision. This subrule takes effect with the 2006 renewal cycle.
(3) When renewing a license, a licensed psychologist who is supervising a limited licensed psychologist shall report on the license renewal form the name, address, telephone number, and license number of each limited licensed psychologist that he or she supervises. The licensee shall also report the starting date of the supervision. This subrule takes effect with the 2006 renewal cycle.
